Day 2: Belted Striped Top

15x15 Challenge Day 2
15x15 Day 2-1
Blue and green striped top: Old Navy
Green jeans: Old Navy
Black booties: Payless
Black belt: H&M

This was the perfect outfit to go shopping with an old friend. It's so comfortable, but still looks good. I seriously love this top, but before starting a blog I would never have bought it because I wouldn't have thought of wearing it with a belt. It's a little shapeless on its own, but with the belt it looks chic. Now I can love this top even more!

Do you have any other tips to add shape to a shapeless top?

Today I'm linking up with YOLO Mondays and Visible Mondays.

  4. Ahhhhhh! Another way to style teal skinnies ... NAVY! And a pattern! Why didn't I think of that? Thank you!
I had some luck making a deep pleat in the back waist of a flowy blouse, fastened with a button and loop. However, the belt is a lot easier and looks completely modern. Often, the simplest is the best, yes?

    1. Thanks! That definitely sounds like it would work, but I bet I would mess that up. So, I have a feeling a belt might be the best option. Thanks for stopping by!

  5. This is a darling combination. Are those the green Old Navy skinny jeans that you told me about on Twitter? So glad that you finally picked up a pair! I think I'll have to wear mine with my cobalt shirt down. Your challenge is off to a great start!
